ABOUT the ARTIST
At the age of 12 years old, artist Jodilyn Blake, began what she claims as her doodling journey. While attending middle school in American Fork, Utah, she began drawing with pen on her jeans. Starting with a small heart by her right front pocket, ending the day with a full leg of doodling artwork. Over the years she has created many works of art for her personal enjoyment. Mostly giving them away to family and friends. In 2015, after studying other self-taught digital clipartist, she decided to give it a whirl. Her first digital doodle was of a Shasta trailer she lovingly refers to as Daisy. She has come a long way since that first scanned doodle.
Jodilyn attended college later in life, in hopes of fulfilling her dream of becoming a school teacher. While attending Dixie State College in Southern Utah, she took over 20 credits of art classes. Studying under excellent watercolor, pastel and oil artists. She called her art classes her dessert for working so hard. She is at present teaching at a middle school in Southeastern Utah, where she shares her love of art through the creation of projects for her students to do while in her English class.
She is currently extending her art to digital pieces created with her Apple products and fancy app's. She can often be heard saying, "Creative living in the only kind of life." She firmly believes that creating is the positive portal to a balanced mental health. Creating in all its forms. She is happy to share her creations with you in hopes that her doodles will bring joy and warmth to your life.
